A spiritual mystery revealed--working hard and providing for those in need, brings God's blessing upon you!

35 And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Acts 20:35

This verse has been on my mind much lately. It helps me understand the deep satisfaction I feel after being at English Club every Thursday night. Many of the volunteers who help have just finished working hard all day and are giving of their precious time, energy, and resources. They can stand with the Apostle Paul and proudly say, "I work hard and help those in need." More importantly, they feel that deep sense of satisfaction that only God can give when you pour out your life for those in need. This truth is so apparent on the faces of all at English Club. It is true that the refugees seem filled with gratitude upon receiving clothes, food, and English lessons, but the greater blessing is upon the giver.
