About Term 2
Oxford Discover Level 4 Term 2 continues the second half of the Level 4 course.
Students build on the English developed during Term 1 while strengthening their ability to understand texts, communicate ideas, use vocabulary and grammar accurately, and write more clearly.
Students continue developing:
- Speaking and discussion
- Listening comprehension
- Reading comprehension
- Vocabulary
- Grammar
- Pronunciation
- Writing
- Critical thinking
Who Should Join Term 2?
Term 2 is for kids ages 9–12 at approximately A2 level who are ready for the second half of Oxford Discover Level 4. The age and level match the current main ESL Connexus Kids page. ESL Connexus
Students should normally have:
- Completed Oxford Discover Level 4 Term 1 with ESL Connexus
- Completed equivalent Oxford Discover Level 4 material elsewhere, or
- Received ESL Connexus approval to enter Term 2
Students do not need to have completed Term 1 with ESL Connexus if their previous learning has prepared them for this part of the course.
New students may need placement review before payment is requested.
How the Complete Course Works
Oxford Discover Level 4 is offered as a 48-class live course:
Term 1: 24 live classes
Term 2: 24 live classes
This event is for Term 2.
Each term is registered and paid for separately.

How Free Registration Works
1. Register free
Reserve a place in Term 2.
2. The group forms
Once at least 3 students have registered, ESL Connexus begins the payment process.
3. Placement is checked when needed
New students may complete placement before payment is requested.
4. Payment requests are sent
Families receive the appropriate payment request.
5. The course is confirmed
The group opens after at least 3 students have paid.

Minimum Enrollment Policy
ESL Connexus live group classes require at least 3 paid students to open.
If fewer than 3 students complete payment by the payment deadline, the group will not begin as scheduled.
Families who have already paid may choose:
- A full refund to the original payment method
- Transfer to another available ESL Connexus group course
- ESL Connexus account credit for a future live-learning purchase
- To remain on the waiting list for a later start date, if the family agrees
ESL Connexus will not begin the course with fewer than 3 paid students at the published group price.
If another learning option is available, such as private or semi-private instruction, it will be offered separately with its own confirmed price and only with the family's approval.
