About Term 2
Oxford Discover Level 3 Term 2 continues the second half of the Level 3 curriculum.
Students continue strengthening their English through reading, speaking, listening, vocabulary, grammar, writing, and critical thinking.
Term 2 builds on the language and skills developed during Term 1.
Term 2 Course Content
Term 2 covers Units 10–18 of Oxford Discover Level 3.
Topics in this part of the course include questions and themes connected with:
- Energy
- Music and musical instruments
- Inventions
- Simple machines
- Plants
- Nature and the world around us
The published Level 3 materials show Unit 10 continuing the energy theme, followed by units about music, inventions, machines, plants, and later Level 3 topics through Unit 18. eslconnexus.odoo.com
Who Should Join Term 2?
Term 2 is designed for kids ages 8–11 at approximately A1–A2 level who are ready for the second half of Oxford Discover Level 3. eslconnexus.odoo.com
Students should normally have:
- Completed ESL Connexus Oxford Discover Level 3 Term 1
- Completed equivalent Oxford Discover Level 3 material elsewhere, or
- Received ESL Connexus approval to enter Term 2
A student does not need to have studied Term 1 with ESL Connexus if their previous learning has prepared them for the second half of the course.
New students may need a placement review before payment is requested.
How the Complete Level Works
Oxford Discover Level 3 is offered as a 48-class complete live course:
Term 1: 24 classes — Units 1–9
Term 2: 24 classes — Units 10–18
This event is for Term 2 only.
Term 1 and Term 2 are registered and paid for separately.

How Free Registration Works

2. ESL Connexus forms the group
At least 3 registrations are needed before payment requests are sent.
3. Receive your payment request
ESL Connexus confirms placement and sends the appropriate payment information.
4. Complete payment
Your student's place is finalized.
5. Start after confirmation
The group officially opens once at least 3 students have paid.

Minimum Enrollment Policy
ESL Connexus live group classes require at least 3 paid students to open.
If fewer than 3 students complete payment by the payment deadline, the group will not begin as scheduled.
Families who have already paid may choose one of the following:
- Receive a full refund to the original payment method
- Transfer the payment to another available ESL Connexus group course
- Keep the payment as ESL Connexus account credit for a future live-learning purchase
- Remain on the waiting list for a later start date, if the family agrees
ESL Connexus will not begin the course with fewer than 3 paid students at the published group price.
If a different learning option is available, such as private or semi-private instruction, it will be offered separately with its own confirmed price and only with the family's approval.
