About Unlock Basic Literacy Term 2
Unlock Basic Literacy Term 2 continues the development of foundational English literacy for teens and adults at beginner level.
Students continue building reading, writing, vocabulary, listening, and speaking skills through structured, teacher-led lessons.
Term 2 gives students more opportunities to apply what they have already learned, understand longer or more detailed English, communicate more clearly, and develop greater independence as English learners.
Students receive live explanations, guided practice, correction, and feedback throughout the course.

- Completed Unlock Basic Literacy Term 1 with ESL Connexus
- Completed equivalent beginner literacy study elsewhere
- Have foundational reading and writing skills suitable for this part of the course, or
- Have received ESL Connexus approval to enter Term 2

Minimum Enrollment Policy
ESL Connexus live group classes require at least 3 paid students to open.
If fewer than 3 students complete payment by the payment deadline, the group will not begin as scheduled.
Students or families who have already paid may choose one of the following:
- Receive a full refund to the original payment method
- Transfer the payment to another available ESL Connexus group course
- Keep the payment as ESL Connexus account credit for a future live-learning purchase
- Remain on the waiting list for a later start date, if the student or family agrees
ESL Connexus will not begin the course with fewer than 3 paid students at the published group price.
If a different learning option is available, such as private or semi-private instruction, it will be offered separately with its own confirmed price and only with the student's or family's approval.
